April 15, 2009: LI-COR Biosciences is now offering casein and milk blocking buffers as alternatives to its popular Odyssey® Blocking Buffer. To help researchers optimize their Westerns, LI-COR also offers a Western Blocking Buffer Sample Pack (PN 927-40050), which contains trial quantities of all three reagents.
“There is no single blocker that is best-suited for all primary antibodies,” says Jim Wiley, LI-COR strategic marketing manager. “LI-COR’s new sample pack allows customers to evaluate which blocker is best for his experiment on a case-by-case basis.” Wiley adds that the three blockers also serve as diluents for antigens, antibodies, and other proteins..
