The combination of the BESS T-scan™ method with the IR2 system allows both strands of a PCR product to be scanned quickly for sequence variation. The dUTP is incorporated during PCR and the cleavage reaction requires only a 15-30 minute incubation following which samples can be directly analyzed. This method offers a rapid approach to screening populations for a variety of sequence variation including SNPs.
This work was done in collabaoration with Greg Hawkins at Epicentre Technologies who provided reagents and samples.
