4. Do you need to image DNA gels stained with ethidium bromide? Any of the Odyssey imaging systems can be used to image SYTO 60 near-infrared fluorescent stain in the 700 nm channel. This technology does not use harmful UV excitation light, offering a safer alternative for downstream DNA applications. If you need to image ethidium bromide or SYBR Safe stains, use the Odyssey Fc Imager.
