Position Overview:  Install and service all PC workstations at our EU subsidiaries.  This includes hardware and software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.  Assist and train company employees in the efficient use of their computers. Support and improve existing IT infra-structure. Maintain and verify the success of daily backups. Adjust web based solutions like online ordering and cloud towards our EU customers’ needs.

Job Qualifications:

Education:    Studies of “Informatik-FH” or equivalent of four years experience with PCs and software.

Experience & Skills:

• Four years experience with PCs, DOS/Windows/OS2/server operation systems, software applications, and hardware installation preferred.  Experience with Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, SAGE, Cloud, Java and other applications.

General:

Position Responsibilities:

• Have primary responsibility for setup and installation of new PC workstations throughout the EU subsidiaries.  This includes the setup of specific software applications, configuring the PC for network operation, installing new boards, and connection of any necessary peripherals.
• Have primary responsibility for troubleshooting PC hardware and software problems, and taking appropriate corrective action.  Performing routine maintenance.
• Maintain and verify on a daily basis the success of all server backups utilizing the current backup solution
• Keep configuration, maintenance and inventory records of all PCs within the company.
• Conduct training of employees on all aspects of computer operation and software training (e.g. Windows, Word, Excel, MS-Outlook, Access, SAGE ….).
• Have primary responsibilities for support and maintenance of printers attached to the network or to the local PCs.
• Support and programming of web based solutions. Programming of Java would be a plus.
• Support network and communications systems in subsidiary offices.
• Provide backup support for PBX and Voice Mail systems.
