LI-1400 Instrument Software Installation Instructions

IMPORTANT NOTE: Updating the instrument software restores system default values and erases all data in memory. All data will be lost with no chance of recovery, so be sure to save your data before updating the instrument software.
1. Download Version 1.3 of the instrument software, if you have not already done so.
2. Use the 1400-550 RS-232 cable to connect the LI-1400 to a serial port on your computer.
3. Open the LI1400_emb-1.3 Folder and double-click on the li1400-update.exe program icon.
4. Choose the serial port to which the LI-1400 is connected to the computer. Click the Program Flash button.

5. Click Yes when prompted to continue the update. The LI-1400 display will show “SYSTEM RESET: to run press ENTER” while the instrument software is being updated. Click OK when the “Instrument programmed successfully” message appears.
