Designed for use with the LI-8150 Multiplexer, the all new 8100-104 Long-Term Chamber expands the capabilities of the LI-8100 Automated Soil CO2 Flux System and provides an additional chamber option to measure both spatial and temporal variation of soil CO2 flux.

The 8100-104 uses an automated “lift and rotate” drive mechanism to completely expose the measurement area to natural soil conditions while the chamber is open. The chamber design, including the double gasket system, helps minimize soil perturbation. Auxiliary soil temperature and/or soil moisture sensors can be connected directly to the chamber via weatherproof connectors. And like the 8100-101 Long-Term Chamber, the 8100-104 includes our patent-pending pressure vent to allow chamber pressure to track ambient pressure under calm and windy conditions.

The 8100-104 Long-Term Chamber can also be connected directly to the LI-8100 Analyzer Control Unit to form a single-chamber longterm system.
