![]() 8100-204 ThetaProbe with bare wires and connector ThetaProbes now available for the LI-8100 Automated Soil CO2 Flux SystemModel ML2x ThetaProbe moisture sensors, from Delta-T Devices, are now available as an accessory for the LI-8100 System. The ThetaProbe measures volumetric soil moisture content by method of responding to changes in the dielectric constant between four metal rods. Volumetric moisture content is a ratio between the volume of water in the soil and the total volume of the sample. Changes in dielectric constant are converted into a DC voltage, which is interpreted and logged by the LI-8100 system. Standard calibration coefficients are supplied with ThetaProbes, and it is also possible to perform soil-specific calibrations. In addition to the ECH2O probes (Decagon Devices) offered with the LI-8100 System, the new ThetaProbes offer another option for soil moisture measurement. ThetaProbes are known to be robust and accurate sensors, and can even be buried in the soil. These probes are a nice compliment to the durable, precise LI-8100 Automated Soil CO2 Flux System. Part number 8100-204 is a ThetaProbe with bare wires for connection to the LI-8100 Analyzer Control Unit in a single chamber configuration. Part number 8150-204 adds a connector to the ThetaProbe for use with Multiplexed LI-8100 Systems. See the Ordering Information page for more details. ![]() |
