New LI-COR Initiatives for Education
LI-COR's commitment to education is expanding with four new programs available in the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada
- LEEF II Program: After a successful introduction of the LI-COR Environmental Education Fund (LEEF) program in October 2006, LI-COR is contributing more than $500,000 in funding for colleges and universities through LEEF II. At least twenty grants will be awarded for use by four-year undergraduate institutions to acquire the LEEF II Package that includes the LI-6400XTR Portable Photosynthesis and Fluorescence System. The LEEF II Package is intended to be used by undergraduate students studying biology, environmental science and related fields.
- LI-6400XTE Portable Gas Exchange and Fluorescence System – Educational Package: A complete package for teaching and research that includes all hardware and software required to advance photosynthesis teaching and research in an educational setting.
- LI-8100TR Automated Soil CO2 Flux and Atmospheric Monitoring System – Teaching & Research Package: The LI-8100TR package provides educators and researchers sophisticated flux monitoring instrumentation in a dedicated system that is integrated and easy to use. The LI-8100 accurately measures soil CO2 flux as well as vertical atmospheric CO2 profiles. The LI-8100TR is the complete teaching and research package at a great savings.
- LI-COR New Faculty Start-Up (NFSU) Program: Designed to help new faculty members, starting their first teaching position, acquire the instruments they need for teaching and research at an educational discount and much more.
