4. Pursue the Remaining Funds.
Although the LEEF grant covers 50% of the cost of the LEEF Ecophysiology package, the remaining cost is the responsibility of the institution. There are several ways to achieve these remaining funds. LEEF awardees have used NSF/CCLI grants, USDA grants, trust fund or regional grants, department funds, start-up funds, president's discretionary funds, institution funds, funds from alumni associations or community groups, and other sources to achieve the remaining balance. Some institutions are able to achieve the funds quickly, while for others it may take 2-3 years to achieve the funds. LI-COR is committed to helping LEEF awardees. If you have been awarded a LEEF grant and are unable to achieve the remaining funds by the purchase deadline, contact LI-COR for an extension. We can work with you to ensure that your LEEF award is available for you when you are ready.
5. Get a Quote and Place Your Order.
Although not necessary for purchase, official quotations are available upon request and include estimated shipping cost and delivery time. Contact LI-COR for a quote. Orders can be placed by credit card or purchase order, and can be ordered by phone, fax, email, or online.
6. Attend Training.
A LEEF-exclusive 5-day training course is offered every year in June. This course covers how to set up the instrument, take measurements, analyze data, use the instrument in classes, troubleshoot the instrument, and use different chambers and accessories.
LI-COR also offers 2-Day and 3-Day Training Courses throughout the year which are a condensed version of the training course.
