I have trouble integrating an external biomet file containing air temperature and relative humidity records. Although on the “data selection” page of eddypro i can select the two columns for Ta and RH in the file i created, the output console says: no valid records found in file(s). biomet measurements ignored.

this is the beginning of my *.csv-file, each line is terminated by a CR/LF control pair:

    Timestamp,Ta,RH,,,

    yyyy-mm-dd HHMM,K,%,,,

    2012-01-01 0215,279.02,97.42,,,

    2012-01-01 0245,279.68,97.54,,,

    2012-01-01 0315,280.24,97.54,,,

    2012-01-01 0345,280.52,97.48,,,

    2012-01-01 0415,280.91,97.40,,,

Ideas for solving this are very much appreciated,

    cheers!

    Hi David,

I am not sure why EddyPro is having problems reading the biomet data. Try splitting the time stamp into separate date and time. So Timestamp1 is date and Timestamp2 is the time.

If you are using excel make sure that Excel does not reformat your time and date columns.

thanks for your reply! i tried what you proposed in different ways but it still doesn´t work. i attached two files, one with two timestamps, the other one with three timestamps with year and DOY instead of a date. although excel did put some quotes in the headerline, wich i removed, i can´t see any further formatting-error caused by excel. do you?

…i think i figured it out, i made a mistake by not picking the correct timestamps. with a timestamp marking the end and not the beginning of a half-hourly file it works. sorry for bothering you and thanks for your assistance!

glad to hear it is working.

It is not a bother at all this is how we learn all the small details.

    Hi surajking123

are you getting an error message or no error message at all? Can you post the error message if you are getting an error?

Just to let you know we discussed use of Biomet sensor in Eddy Covariance research in a three part webinar series, you can watch the recording from our website at http://www.licor.com/env/webinars
