Lincoln, Nebraska: LI-COR announces a new multimedia presentation on the Eddy Covariance Method. This introductory course, presented as a service to the scientific community, was developed for researchers who wish to know more about the Eddy Covariance technique and how to properly make these measurements. The presentation is a 1.5-hour PowerPoint slideshow with detailed narration. PowerPoint and Adobe PDF versions of the presentation are also available for download.
The Eddy Covariance presentation emphasizes the general principles, requirements, applications, and processing steps from deploying the measurement equipment through processing the data. Additional information is provided on frequently overlooked details and on basic concepts of Eddy Covariance measurements. This presentation draws together information from numerous academic sources to provide an easy-to-understand, objective overview of the Eddy Covariance method.
This work was an effort of LI-COR Applications Scientists George Burba and Dan Anderson, as well as contributions from other LI-COR personnel.
