Weatherfest

Weatherfest

LI-COR recently participated in the 15th Annual Family Weatherfest event, held on April 11th on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln East Campus. This was the most successful year for the festival, according to Ken Dewey, professor of applied climate science. Included in the festival is a Weather Camp, designed for high school students from across the United States. Weather Camp is a week-long event that engages students in learning about various disciplines in the sciences. The students were able to actively use, and observe, how instruments measure the weather and the changing climate. LI-COR spent time with some of the participating students discussing light measurement, including experiments with solar radiation instrumentation.
