Upgrade to LI-7500A

The updated LI-7500A builds upon the strengths of the field proven LI-7500 by reducing power consumption and heat dissipation in cold environments, integrating more auxiliary data with CO2 and H2O measurements, and storing data to a removable USB drive. It is easy to upgrade any existing LI-7500 to an LI-7500A with the LI-7500A Upgrade Package.

Like the LI-7500, the LI-7500A is simple to configure, and it provides reliable long-term performance in remote areas and extreme environments. The LI-7500A operates with the new LI-7550 Analyzer Interface Unit (included) to enable the collection of eddy covariance data sets that include CO2/H2O, sonic anemometer, and auxiliary data. The LI-7550 provides 4 auxiliary inputs, versatile data outputs, and data storage to a removable USB drive at rates up to 20 Hz. This provides a new level of integration for eddy covariance systems and makes instrument setup and high-speed data collection easier. Furthermore, it is easy to add an LI-7700 Open Path CH4 Analyzer to the LI-7500A for a 3-gas flux system.

In addition, data collected and stored on the LI-7550 can be imported directly into EddyPro for eddy covariance flux processing.

Key updates include:

With the LI-7500A, adding measurements of CH4 flux is as simple as installing an LI-7700 Open Path CH4 Analyzer on your tower, connecting power and Ethernet cables, and configuring the LI-7700 software. This configuration makes it easy to log high speed CO2, H2O, CH4, and sonic anemometer data to a single data file that can be imported into EddyPro and processed with just a few clicks.

To Upgrade: For best results, send your instrument to LI-COR for a factory upgrade. If that is not possible, you can upgrade your LI-7500 with the field upgrade kit as long as you have access to zero and span gases.
