The LI-7550 Analyzer Interface Unit is a multipurpose component of the eddy covariance system. It houses the digital signal processing electronics for CO2/H2O analyzers, provides high-speed data logging, and includes a network connection for system configuration and data download. The weatherized case mounts directly to an instrument tower and does not require an enclosure or temperature regulation.

The LI-7550 Analyzer Interface Unit provides Ethernet connectivity and analog and serial outputs. The Ethernet connection makes it possible to interact with instruments remotely using networked computers or a variety of communication methods, such as cell phone modems or satellite based networks.

The LI-7550 logs high-speed eddy covariance data from LI-COR CO2/H2O and CH4 analyzers. No programming is required to configure the data logger — simply apply the settings in the Windows® software and data logging will commence according to your specifications. The LI-7550 digitizes the anemometer data stream and combines it with data from LI-COR CO2/H2O and CH4 analyzers. It stores the unified data stream in files on a removable industrial-grade USB drive.

Each LI-7550 includes a 4 GB industrial grade USB drive, which can store months of data under a typical configuration. You can transfer data from the USB drive to a computer using the Ethernet connection, either manually or automatically at scheduled times. For extended field campaigns, 16 GB industrial grade drives are available directly from LI-COR.
