Journal of Cell Biology Dataviewer Supports LI-COR Odyssey File Format
February 20, 2009, Lincoln, NE: The Journal of Cell Biology (JCB) is offering a new, browser-based service called DataViewer that allows readers to view original image data associated with published articles. Users are able to rescale images and adjust the intensity range of display, just as they would with their own image display software. The LI-COR .l2d format generated by the Odyssey® Infrared Imaging System is one of the 27 file formats supported by JCB.
JCB makes all content available free of charge with access restricted to paid subscribers during the first six months following publication. More information on DataViewer click here.
The Odyssey Infrared Imaging System is uniquely equipped with two infrared channels for direct fluorescence detection with high sensitivity and low biological background fluorescence. The superior signal to noise ratio produced using near-infrared dyes produces results not previously possible with visible fluorescence-based imaging systems.
