March 17, 2011, Lincoln, NE: LI-COR Biosciences is now offering Installation Qualification (IQ) and Operational Qualification (OQ) for the LI-COR Odyssey Infrared and Odyssey Fc Imaging Systems. These protocols provide an essential step for Odyssey imaging systems to comply with regulatory and Good Manufacturing Processing (GMP) standards.
"This validation process is important for regulatory compliance and auditing," said Kristi Ambroz, Ph.D., director of biotechnology reagent operations and technical support. "We are pleased to provide this important service to our pharmaceutical and biotechnology customers."
LI-COR has certified Field Application Scientists who perform the Installation and Operational Qualification procedures on site. The Installation Qualification is the documented proof that the instrument has been delivered and installed in accordance with the requirements and statutory safety regulations stipulated in the design qualification by LI-COR. The Operational Qualification is a test process that evaluates the correct functioning of the instrument in accordance with LI-COR specifications.
