New Reagents Optimized for Chemiluminescent Westerns

March 7, 2013, Lincoln, NE: LI-COR releases its new WesternSure line of reagents for chemiluminescent Western blot detection. The WesternSure line of reagents includes two substrates, two secondary antibodies conjugated with horseradish peroxidase (HRP), and the Glow-Writer Pen for annotating a visible protein ladder on chemiluminescent Western blots. All WesternSure reagents are optimized for both film and digital imaging, especially when used with the new LI-COR C-DiGit® Blot Scanner and the Odyssey® Fc Imaging System.

WesternSure chemiluminescent reagents offer the best performance available when compared to other competitive products on the market. Both WesternSure ULTRA (detects picogram amounts of antigen) and PREMIUM (detects femtogram amounts of antigen) Substrates are highly sensitive enhanced substrates for detecting HRP on immunoblots. WesternSure HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies are compatible with a variety of chemiluminescent substrates and are optimized for use with WesternSure ULTRA and PREMIUM chemiluminescent substrates.
