Brighter New 700 nm Near-Infrared Fluorescent Dye from LI-COR
May 18, 2010, Lincoln, NE: LI-COR Biosciences announces the release of IRDye® 680LT, a new 700 nm near-infrared fluorescent dye. A leading innovator in near-infrared (NIR) dye and imaging technologies, LI-COR now offers a significantly brighter and more photostable NIR dye option, compared to other 700 nm near-infrared dyes. The suite of related products includes IRDye 680LT secondary antibodies and streptavidin conjugates, protein labeling kits, and NHS ester and maleimide reactive forms of the new 700 nm dye.
"Customers who tested this new product tell us that they preferred IRDye 680LT conjugates over other similar 700 nm conjugates, based on detection level, signal strength, and low background," says Tony Endozo, LI-COR product manager. "Another lab observed that IRDye 680LT gave the brightest signal for their targets."
IRDye 680LT dye conjugates were specifically designed for optimal performance on the LI-COR Odyssey® Infrared Imaging system, for applications including quantitative Western blot analysis, In-Cell Western™ assays, and protein arrays. Due to its excellent photostability, IRDye 680LT is also a good choice for fluorescent microscopy.
