LI-COR Environmental sells direct to Australia, offers support through ANU partnership

August 5, 2013

LI-COR® Biosciences is pleased to announce that their environmental products are now available for direct sale to customers in Australia from the LI-COR headquarters in Lincoln, NE. In addition to direct sales, LI-COR has partnered with Australia National University (ANU) Enterprise to provide support to Australian researchers through the ANU Research School of Biology (RSB). The ANU support team offers an outstanding level of scientific and instrument-related knowledge in the environmental sciences, and will be available to answer research application and instrument support questions.

“Using the talent and expertise found among University staff, both technical and academic, to help solve practical problems is rewarding and educational to all those involved,” said Professor Graham Farquhar of ANU RSB. “The RSB has a long history of excellence in plant physiology and environmental science, and the fit with LI-COR seemed logical.”

“Providing timely and expert support to researchers is a priority”, says LI-COR International Sales Manager Brent Claassen. “The team at ANUE and RSB provide in-depth knowledge of both the theory and use of our instruments. We look forward to joining in this partnership as an additional tool for supporting users in Australia.”

LI-COR support via ANU Enterprise is available from 9 AM to 5 PM AEST, Monday through Friday, and timely responses will be provided during the work day. This is a free service offered in addition to the support provided directly through LI-COR. The ANU Enterprise team will work closely with LI-COR Support staff to assure a high level of support. Instrument service – including calibration and repairs – will continue to be performed at LI-COR in the USA.
