Compute the Right Results
When measuring landscape-level gas exchange with the eddy covariance method, measurements are just the beginning. After measuring wind speeds, gas densities, and other parameters, the eddy covariance method follows a complex sequence of computations to provide the most accurate results possible. LI-COR systems are the only systems available that integrate these complete computations with the measurements.
Our systems utilize EddyPro Software, the leading eddy covariance software, which runs on the SmartFlux 2 System in the same way as on your desktop computer. SmartFlux 2 computes results at your research site in real time, and FluxSuite puts your results online so you can monitor the system from your office, home, or on the go.

EddyPro® Software is a powerful application for processing eddy covariance data. It computes fluxes of water vapor (evapotranspiration), carbon dioxide, methane, other trace gases, and energy with the eddy covariance method.
EddyPro is an open source software application developed, maintained and supported by LI-COR Biosciences. It originates from ECO2S, the Eddy Covariance Community Software project, which was developed as part of the Infrastructure for Measurement of the European Carbon Cycle (IMECC-EU) research project. We gratefully acknowledge the IMECC consortium, the ECO2S development team, the University of Tuscia (Italy) and scientists around the world who assisted with development and testing of the original version of this software. The SmartFlux 2 System

SmartFlux 2 is the on-site processing and GPS synchronization component of each LI-COR eddy covariance system.
At the heart of SmartFlux 2 is EddyPro Software, LI-COR’s eddy covariance data processing software used by scientists worldwide. Running on a microcomputer inside the SmartFlux 2 module, EddyPro seamlessly processes raw flux data, biomet data, and metadata, to provide fully-processed flux results as data are logged.
SmartFlux 2 provides fully processed flux results in real time using raw data from a LI-COR gas analyzer, a sonic anemometer, and an optional datalogger. The SmartFlux 2 System computes flux results using digital data and diagnostics from most sonic anemometer models. It incorporates data collected on a variety of dataloggers, including the LI-COR Biomet System, and the Campbell® Scientific, Inc. CR3000, CR1000, and CR6 dataloggers, giving you the flexibility to build the eddy covariance system that meets your needs.

Fully processed eddy covariance fluxes—sensible heat, latent heat, evapotranspiration, CO2, H2O, and CH4—along with raw data, biomet data, metadata, and diagnostics (including sonic anemometer diagnostics) are logged to a USB drive

Mounting options include the LI-COR Biomet Enclosure, a LI-COR Systems Enclosure, or another similar enclosure.

With FluxSuite Software, you can view real-time final fluxes (processed by SmartFlux 2) on your smartphone, tablet, or computer. FluxSuite Software is a secure web service that shows final flux results, status information, and e-mail alerts from your eddy covariance sites. This allows you to quickly recognize and respond to any issues at the site.
