LINCOLN, Neb. — LI-COR, a leader in environmental measurement and monitoring solutions, and AtmoFacts, a spatial-analytics company advancing atmospheric data into actionable insights, announced the launch of LI-COR Cloud x FluxMapper.
FluxMapper within LI-COR Cloud is a cutting-edge data analytics environment that combines eddy covariance research instruments and cloud-based software from LI-COR with AtmoFacts' patented spatial engine that is backed by a decade of peer-reviewed research.
“FluxMapper brings new precision to carbon accounting by clearly showing where carbon is emitted and where it's being stored,” said Tom Reslewic, CEO of LI-COR. “Integrated into LI-COR Cloud, it gives customers real-time insights into how land-management decisions and other factors affect sequestration and emissions—powerful information for those committed to monitoring carbon globally.”
Together, these capabilities transform Carbon and Water Node flux towers into advanced observatories—turning single-point measurements into actionable and spatially detailed FluxMaps™ that span entire project domains. The system delivers the highest quality flux data available today, capturing over 95% of atmospheric fluxes across the mapped area and providing transparent attribution.
“FluxMapper brings eddy covariance into the 21st century,” said Stefan Metzger, Founder and CEO of AtmoFacts. “By turning a single tower into tens of thousands of virtual sensors, we unlock the molecule-level transparency needed for trustworthy Measurement, Reporting and Verification (MRV), land management, and climate markets. Our goal is simple: let every molecule find its map and make environmental performance as measurable as any business metric.”
Together, this new solution delivers the most powerful flux data on the market to researchers, carbon project developers, MRV analysts, irrigation managers, and remote-sensing and modeling groups alike. Its audit-ready and reproducible datasets are ideal for QA/QC and MRV standards, making it a credible reference for policy-relevant reporting, assessments, and networks such as AmeriFlux, ICOS, and NEON.
Accessible Today, Evolving Tomorrow: Early Cohort at AGU25
FluxMapper will appear in LI-COR Cloud through a staged rollout. At AGU25, AtmoFacts and LI-COR will open nominations for initial early-access cohorts. Selected participants will benefit from early access to the integrated workflow, concierge onboarding, and the opportunity to inform the integration with their own sites and data.
Interested parties are encouraged to experience FluxMapper within LI-COR Cloud at its debut at AGU25. Technical demonstrations, case studies, and cohort registration are available during the conference at LI-COR booth #311.
