LI-250A Light Meter 'Freezes'

If the LI-250A Light Meter battery is removed while the meter is powered ON, the meter can ‘freeze’, whereby it displays nonsense and does not respond to keystrokes. (This could also happen if the battery connectors are loose.) This is due to a capacitor inside the meter holding some limited charge. The solution is to remove the battery and let the LI-250A sit for about 5 minutes. Replace the battery and the meter should function properly.
