Instructions for installing the Brailsford TD diaphragm pump in the LI-610.

Follow these steps to replace the diaphragm in the diaphragm pump:

  1. Remove the LI-610 top cover to access the air pump.
  2. It is not necessary to remove the air hoses attached to the inlet and outlet ports on the pump head.
  3. Unscrew the four slotted head screws and remove the pump head.
  4. Unscrew the two Phillips Head screws and remove the plastic dust cover.
  5. Hold the connecting rod, unscrew the single Phillips Head screw, and remove the old diaphragm.
  6. Apply a small amount of the grease provided to the lip of the new diaphragm.
  7. Hold the connecting rod again when installing the new diaphragm.
  8. The diaphragm must be properly centered by the plastic retaining washer. Tighten the screw.
  9. Reinstall the dust cover.
  10. Reinstall the pump head.
  11. Make sure that the rim of the new diaphragm is correctly seated in the matching groove on the underside of the pump head before tightening the four screws.
  12. Reinstall the air hoses.
  13. Turn the air pump on momentarily to form the new diaphragm.
