Exporting from Tovi

Tovi can export your processed dataset, a citations list the processes carried out on your data and references, and the process log.

Citations list

As you apply tools to your dataset, Tovi automatically compiles a list of citations that are related to the tools applied to the dataset. This makes it easy to gather the citations for your work, making it easier to credit those who have contributed indirectly to the work.

When you click Export Citations, Tovi presents the full list and you can choose the output format. Currently, Tovi supports Copernicus Long, Copernicus Short, Citation, Harvard, Bibtex, and RIS formats. You can choose to include the tool type if you want to see which tools are associated with the processes.

Process log

The process log is a collection of processes that have been applied to the data. It consists of Python code. Select this to view the code from the process log, which you can copy to a text file.

Dataset and results

When you are done processing the data, you can export it in a number of formats. The formats available include text files (.csv and .json), Microsoft® Excel®, MATLAB, NetCDF, and Max Plank institute file formats.

You can export data using the Export Data option on the home page. Simply click Export Data, select the preferred format and then click Export.

Exporting for the Max Plank Institute presents options to prioritize a variable from the columns available. This export tool is designed for the online gap filling tool. Select this to export your data in a format that can be submitted directly to the Max Plank Institute.
