Environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, wind, radiation, and soil moisture influence the physiological responses captured by the LI-6800. A field-deployed HOBO weather station provides the real-time, on-site microclimate data you need to contextualize leaf-level gas exchange measurements. This ensures your data reflects actual conditions, not modeled or acquired from distant weather stations.

HOW IT WORKS

A HOBO weather station uploads climate data directly to LI-COR Cloud with a service plan, allowing you to easily access and analyze your data. The LI-6800's data remains stored on the instrument. Together, they:

  • Support the interpretation of your plant's response to environmental conditions
  • Provide on-the-ground insights instead of relying on modeled or distant climate data
  • Identify leaf-level changes across micro-climates and landscapes, helping you determine when conditions are optimal to conduct measurements
  • Help reveal subtle micro- to macro-level environmental or treatment differences between locations that can be used to explain leaf-level physiology
