ELISA Substrates Now Available For Use With Infrared Imaging

August 18, 2011, Lincoln, NE: LI-COR now offers horseradish peroxidase (HRP) and alkaline phosphatase (AP) ELISA substrates for use with near-infrared (NIR) fluorescence detection in the 700 nm channel on infrared imagers, such as LI-COR's Odyssey CLx Imager and Odyssey Sa Imager.

"The NIR-optimized HRP and AP ELISA substrates are ideal for endpoint assays and offer sensitivity that is equal or better than chromogenic or chemiluminescent substrates," says Shawn Mischnick, LI-COR technical product specialist. "As with all LI-COR reagents, these substrates offer excellent signal-to-noise ratios, consistency, and linearity, making them ideal for use in most ELISA applications."

Each of the ELISA substrate packs contains substrate, assay buffer, and stop solution sufficient for 1,000 assays (or ten 96-well plates). Contact biosales@licor.com with any questions about these new substrates.
